This year we have 21 vibrant discussion panels, covering everything from media ethics, literary bogan culture and untold stories to novel-finishing, publishing state-of-the-nation and the evolution of zines. The topics covered and opinions expressed (including your own!) will be diverse; the common thread is an intention get practitioners from all different backgrounds and levels of experience talking to each other.
One of the best things about the NYWF is getting to create and develop work alongside like-minded crew from around the country. Get amongst it!
NYWF 07 brings you a huge range of performance events. From nation-wide showcases to all-in open mics, the festival precinct comes alive every night people strutting their stuff.
It's all about the writing. Come and hear a wide selection of exciting writers reading their own work in the intimate environment of the festival club chill space.
Organised theatrical chaos, a festival-wide immersive writing and soundscape project, day-long collaborative experiments and a whole series of exciting tours are just a few of the 2007 special events program.
Debuting at this year's NYWF is a new type of event - the round-table discussion. These are community-driven, open-access forums which give you the chance to share your thoughts, opinions and work with a range of experienced and opinionated guests.
