Aqsa Magan

Aqsa is a 23-year-old amalgamation of ‘something’s’ — writer, reader, crazy cat lady (in spirit), and general chaos enthusiast. She’s the author of 23 short stories on Reedsy, came runner-up in Monash University’s 2023 poetry competition, and recently submitted her thesis Weaving the Mundane, which explores identity through hybrid storytelling. Currently, she writes the weekly newsletter for Word Tonic — a Gen-Z copywriting platform with over 2,000 subscribers — where she blends humour, cultural critique, and community-building.

Of Pakistani descent, born in England, raised in Kenya, and now based in Australia, Aqsa’s work draws from an assortment of cultural influences. Whether writing fiction, facilitating creative workshops, or editing social media content for her bookstagram account, her aim is always the same: to make people feel a little more seen (and maybe laugh in the process).
