Emmalee Ford is a scientist at the University of Newcastle. Dr Ford got her PhD in medical biochemistry in 2021, specialising in fertility and reproductive health. Her work currently explores novel approaches to comprehensive sex education in schools. Dr Ford also researches the interplay between physiology, sociology, and technology in self-monitoring menstrual health. Dr Ford writes and performs her science to enhance awareness and insight into reproductive health. Dr Ford regularly contributes expert opinion and participates in community media including the Got Your Back Sista podcast and a performance at This is Not Art Festival in 2018.
