Jade is a Gamilaroi illustrator and director of Awesome Black. Her work as an illustrator is colourful, created for a younger audience such as children’s illustrations. In late 2021, Jade signed her first contract with Penguin Random House to illustrate a children’s picture book, Aslan and Big Bad Benny which is scheduled to release in 2023. Jade signed a new contract with Harper Collins in early 2022 to work alongside tennis superstar, Ash Barty and Torres Strait Islander and African American writer and editor, Jasmin Mcgaughey to illustrate the children’s book series, Little Ash. Jade has future goals to write and illustrate her own published children’s books, but until then, you can find her tending her plant army and finally making her way through the art supplies she brought a year ago.
