Jasmine Story is an Mparntwe Alice Springs based playwright and performer. In 2025 she received Creative Residencies funding from Arts NT, that is supporting her to upskill in puppetry with Erth Visual and Physical Inc for her work in development, SMOKO. In collaboration with Lili Favrel, Jasmine co-wrote and performed children’s psycho-education piece, Floopy’s Fuzzled Feelings; performed at WOS (2023), Darwin Fringe (2024) and Adelaide Fringe (2025). She has also participated in the Sydney Opera House Keepsakes Artist Exchange (2024) and the Playlab Transmission program for Regional Playwrights (2023). Her newest interest is exploring internalised misogyny & queerphobia through creating queer re-writes of your fav pop songs!
Performance credits include Luminate Festival, in Universal Kingdom and the Arelhe Urrperle Project with Erth Physical & Visual Theatre Inc (2024), Gina Tay Limpus’ physical theatre piece Skelter (2023) and Betty Sweetlove’s debut production of The Nestmakers at the Desert Festival (2022). Jasmine is a counsellor whose interest in mental health infuses into her writing. She is interested in using theatre to craft transformation in people’s lives, build community and share stories through the emotive force of theatre.
