Olivia Satchell

Olivia Satchell is a theatre-maker, writer, dramaturg and facilitator trained at the Victorian College of the Arts (Masters of Directing 2015) and the University of Sydney. Her plays have been variously shortlisted for the Phillip Parsons Fellowship for Emerging Playwrights, the Rodney Seaborn Playwrights Award, the Max Afford Playwrights Award, and the Queensland Premier’s Drama Award. She was nominated for Best Director at the 2019 Green Room Awards for ‘my sister feather’ and her play ‘let bleeding girls lie’ has been selected to represent Australia at the 12th Women Playwrights International Conference in June 2022. Her community practice has included co-founding Small and Loud in 2016, a monthly performance program for new works in development that worked with over 300 young artists across its three years of programming.
