When we were kids we all dreamed of being a writer on the Simpsons. At this event, that dream will come true… kind of. SMITHERS is a fun, interactive event where you’ll team up to try and re-write a Simpsons episode from memory. Teams and episodes will be selected at random so get ready to have some laughs and makes some new friends along the way. Facilitated by Eamonn Marra and based on the play Mr Burns by Anne Washburn.

Are you coming?

Our festival is 100% free. It’s always free. But this year, National Young Writers’ Festival is asking for you to register for the festival. Registering for our festival means you can help us maintain and secure our ongoing funding. We rely on funding to provide this opportunity to artists and audiences. We need to understand who exactly we provide this opportunity to.

Can you support NYWF?

During registration, you’ll see an opportunity to buy a NYWF supporter ticket. If you love our festival, we encourage to help support our festival by becoming an NYWF supporter. The “ticket” doesn’t get you into anything extra, it’s a contribution to support the ongoing running costs of our festival: which is 100% free to attend!
