The National Young Writers’ Festival Announce New Co- Director

The National Young Writers’ Festival (NYWF) is delighted to announce that Sian Campbell has been appointed as the new Co-Director for the 2015 festival. Sian joins existing Co-Directors Alexandra Niell, Lex Hirst and Jessica Alice and she looks forward to celebrating NYWF’s 18th birthday!

Sian Campbell was NYWF’s amazing Press Room Co-ordinator in 2014 and has been going to the festival since 2010. She will continue as festival Co-Director in 2016. Sian is a freelance writer, post-grad student at the University of Melbourne, and one of the founding editors of Scum Mag. Her writing has been published in Kill Your Darlings, Voiceworks, and Junkee. In 2013 she was a Wheeler Centre Hot Desk Fellowship recipient. She tweets at @seancornball.

NYWF is the country’s largest gathering of young and innovative writers working in both new and traditional forms including zines, comics, blogging, screenwriting, poetry, spoken word, hip hop music, journalism, autobiography, comedy, songwriting and prose.  Artist enquiries can be directed to
