It is no secret that repetition helps our brains to remember things. But when it comes to poetry, is it really as simple as just using the same line more than once – and what about rhyme, is rhyming poetry still cool? Join Claudia Jardine in her quest to reanimate and renovate types of repetitive verse. This two-hour workshop for writers of all skill levels will include group discussions, writing exercises, prosody and time for experimenting and sharing. You are encouraged to eavesdrop and take notes on conversations featuring natural repetition in preparation for this workshop.
